Živojin Turinski (1935-2001)

Živojin Turinski was a serbian painter, art critic and professor in University of Arts in Belgrade. He graduated at Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade, in classes of eminent and renowned professors, Ljubica Cuca Sokić, Nedeljko Gvozdenović, and Stojan Ćelić, who created contemporary art scene in Serbia. He later worked at the same academy.

Starting with 1962, he was the art critic for several important journals, art magazine and weekly newspapers. He wrote about painting technologies. Considering his artistic practise, he was mostly committed to informel technique.

He started exhibiting his works in 1995.
