Veljko Stanojević (1892 – 1967)
Veljko Stanojević was born in Belgrade, where he graduated from the School of Arts and Crafts in 1914,with professors Ljubomir Ivanović and Marko Murat. From 1920 to 1922 he studied painting in Paris, where he lived until 1930.
He was one of the founders of the group “Oblik”(“The Shape”). He exhibited for the first time independently in 1922 in Belgrade and later at numerous group and solo exhibitions in Yugoslavia, Europe and America.
Veljko Stanojević’s painting moved from naturalism, through “idelized reality”, to the return to nature and naturalism.
He died in Belgrade in 1967.
