ARTE Gallery, for the LARGE FORMAT Exhibition, has singled out the about fifty works of the most important artists who were predominantly creating in the second half of the 20th century, from more than forty representative private collections.

The collector as curator and selector is a project with the aim of affirming collecting fine art, pointing out the knowledge that collectors possess and improving the relationship between private and public cultural heritage. The project is dedicated to collectors, people who have developed a true love and passion for art, that fulfill them and make them last, as well as to their effort to preserve or expand their collections.

The exhibition set at four locations in Belgrade (Andrićev Venac 4 / Andrićev venac 12 / Kralja Milana 3 / Svetogorska 29) shows artworks that are the focal points of the collections to which they belong, and the publication which follows the exhibition contains more than 200 reproductions and the text that describes the history of large format in our region and beyond, with notes of private collections that have it as their heritage and that are publicly active.

The exhibition will be open until June 3, 2022.
