Dragan Azdejković (1957)
Dragan Azdejković, Serbian painter of the middle generation who studied at the Academy of Arts in Belgrade. Known for creating specific and unique body of work that is difficult to capture in the framework of current art trends and directions. In his paintings objective reality is embellished by passing through a filter of imagination, and thus he makes a series of interesting scenes, unusual combinations of motifs and content that is on the border between childlike and adult perspective. As such, his pictures easily find their way to each observer. Azdejković is a memeber of The Association of Fine Artists of Serbia from 1986. He has received several local and international awards.
Awards/Recognitions: “Lorenzo il Magnifico” medal, Florence Biennale (2005); Honorary Award, Online Global Art International Competition (London, 2006); Student Drawing Prize (1979).
