Dušan Džamonja (Strumica, 1928 – Zagreb, 2009)
Dušan Džamonja completed his graduate and postgraduate studies at the Academy o Fine Arts in Zagreb under the tutorage of Professor Anton Augustinčić.
From 1951 until 1953 he was an associate of the Master workshop of Frano Kršinić. He participated at the Venice Biennale in 1960, when he was nominated for the Grand Prix. He was a member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts since 1988 and a member of the Croatian academy of Sciences and Arts since 2004. He is the author of many public monuments.
