Miodrag Dado Đurić (Cetinje, 1933 – Paris, 2010)

Miodrag Dado Đurić graduated in 1956 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in the class of Professor Marko Čelebonović. He was a member of the Mediala group. In 1956 he moved to France. From 1958 he works with Daniel Cordieu’s gallery and then with Andre Francois Petit. He moved to Herouval in France, near Paris, in 1960.

Dado’s first retrospective exhibition was held in 1970 at the National Center of Contemporary Art in Paris, and after that the retrospective at the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam. The Bobur gallery in Paris organized Dado retrospective in 1984. In 2001 Dado published his first book “The situation is more serious than you think or it seems”. He exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 2009. Art historian Alan Boskue published his biography “Dado, a restless universe”. His works are found in many museums, galleries and private collections worldwide.
