Olga Vujadinović – Blažek (1936-2015)

Olga Vujadinović – Blažek was born in 1936 in Kruševac (Serbia). She finisfed elementary school and high school in Belgrade. In 1955 she enrolled in the department of decorative ceramics at the Academy of Applied Arts. In 1960 he graduated in the class of Professor Ivan Tabaković. He is a member ULUPUS since 1961, with the status of an independent artist. She used to work as a teacher and a professor at the School of Applied Arts in Novi Sad from 1961 to 1963. She received a scholarship from the Fund for the promotion of cultural activities “Mosa Pijade” for a one-month stay in Italy. National Serbian Fund for the promotion of cultural activities awarded her a scholarship in years 1966-1968 and from 1968 to 1970. In 1987 he was named the prominent artists.

One can say that Olga Vujadinović is a focal figure of today’s Serbian modern ceramics. Her painting confirms belonging to the world of pop – fiction, with the difference that it is (opposed to these ceramics) cheerful and euphoric. Olga Vujadinović’s Art distinguishes by a combination of constructive and imaginative. Because of these characteristics her work stand out as unique and distinctive, as the expression of an unrepeatable and unique artistic personality.
