Zoran Petrović (1921 – 1996)
Zoran Petrović was a painter, sculptor, writer and a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade.
He was a member of the art group „Independent” and one of the founders of the “December Art Group”. One of the founders of art colony in Backa Topola, Serbia, the art colony “Ecka” in Zrenjanin and active participant in other art colonies. He has exhibited in 30 solo exhibitions and 90 group exhibitions at home and abroad. Since 1975, he started doing sculptures based on the principle of welded and cast iron. In addition to painting and sculpture Petrovic deals with the literature.
He has received several awards and recognitions.
